Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto

Michael Jordan age 50 married Cuban born Yvette Prieto on April 27th, 2013 in a lavish 2000 person event.  The entire affair was estimated to cost the ex-Chicago Bull star and owner of the Charlotte Hornets over $10 million dollars.

The nuptials were held at Palm Beach’s Bethesda-by-The-Sea Episcopal Church.  The Church itself is considered to be a  jewel of architecture in Palm Beach and is routinely named in lists of Florida’s most beautiful places of worship not to mention, this is where Donald Trump also got married.  The ceremony was attended by 500 guests.  Michael Jordan had only a best man, while Yvette Prieto chose to have 8 bridesmaids.   A private security firm handled the traffic and crowds during the lavish affair.  They helped to also make sure that all guests that were in attendance were met to be in attendance.  The eight bridesmaids can be seen wearing strapless lilac dresses.

For starters the reception took place in a tent that was 40,000 sq ft.  reportedly the biggest tent in history.  The tent was erected at the Bears Club in Jupiter Florida.  Jack Nicklaus (the golfer not to be confused with the actor), allowed the tent to be placed on the golf courses driving range.  The celebration included fireworks in the evening and entertainment by DJ MC Lyte, singers K’Jon, Robin Thicke and Grammy-Award winner Usher and The Source, an 18-piece band.

THE CAKE was from Edda’s Cake Designs, was a seven layer white rum cake. The entire thing was covered in white fondant and sugar crystals and on the top was the couples monogram.

THE FLORAL ARRANGEMENT white roses, peonies and tulips with accents of purple by Mark’s Garden.

THE WEDDING DRESS was a French silk voile corseted sheer sheath J’Aton Couture gown, in an ecru palette with accents of flesh tones, with handmade silk lace created just for her, and embellished with Swarovski crystals. The gown featured French seamed crinoline borders, which cascaded into a dramatic cathedral train finished in the lace, with accents of a peacock-feathered design.
